For those who are unaware, Rumah Aman 2 Bowl For Charity event has been CANCELLED due to unfavourable circumstances. However, the building of Rumah Aman 2 still needs to be completed and more money is required as costs escalate.
The Background (a refresher):
Rumah Aman (Shah Alam) is a foundation which is a non-profit and a non-political charity organisation set up to provide assistance and support to orphans and children from the poor and destitute families and, on a case to case basis for those in need and helpless.Presently it manages the Rumah Aman Orphanage and Welfare Home which is a registered body with the Welfare Department of Malaysia since March 2006. It operates the orphanage through donations, zakat and sadaqa lillah entrusted by public.
Through the generosity of a kind donor, Rumah Aman (Shah Alam) received as a gift, two pieces of land located on a hilltop of Sungai Buloh Country Resort, overlooking Saujana Utama in the Mukim of Ijok, Kuala Selangor, Selangor Darul Ehsan. They plan to build our second orphanage, presently known as Rumah Aman 2, on that land. The planned build up area would be almost 1,461 sq. meters (15,705 sq. feet). It will house about 60 children complete with hostel facilities, classrooms and office area.
